About Founder

Avimanyu Bandyopadhyay is a Doctoral Researcher on GPU-based Bioinformatics and a big-time Linux fan. He strongly believes in the significance of Linux and FOSS in Scientific Research. Deep Learning with ROCm is his new excitement! He is also a very passionate video gamer (his other side) and loves playing games on Linux, Windows and PS4 while wishing that all Windows/Xbox One/PS4 exclusive games get support on Linux someday! Both his research and PC gaming are powered by his own home-built computer. He is also a former Ubisoft Star Player (2016) and mostly goes by the tag "avimanyu786" on web indexes. Avimanyu is the author of a book on GPU Computing with Python. It highlights the significance of an Open Source Approach, especially through AMD's GPUOpen initiative and ROCm on Linux.
